Morality, respect, courtesy, honesty, tolerance, equality
There is nothing that God has judged good for us that He has not given us the means to accomplish, both in the natural and the moral world.
Rise up; this matter is in your hands. We will support you, so take courage and do it." Ezra 10, Verse 4
Christian Marriage and family life are the twin pillars upon which our society is built. Founded on the bedrock of Christian morality, with a just legal framwork of law and democracy. European society is similarly built on the principles of Christian democracy, marriage and the family.
The Holy Bible defines marriage as the union of one man and one woman, for life. The reasons for marriage are many, in the main to procreate, to establish, bring up and nurture a stable, contented family. A spirit of mutual help, respect, love and co-operation makes the family unit strong. Likewise the founding principles of our civilisation, in common with most others, defines marriage as the union of one man and one woman for life. The principles that enable a stable family to prosper are extended to form societies and nations. Family life provides the heart and strength of nations.
Our Government decided to re-define marriage, to include a union between two people of the same sex! In other words, legalising homosexual "marriage". We will, together with everyone concerned for the integrity of our society, campaign for this mistake to be put right. This is not prejudice agains homosexuals, far from it. It is simply that the Biblical definition of marriage is the ONLY definition. Civil Partnerships have been available for same sex couples for some time, offering financial and legal protection for both parties. Why hijack an institution that is as old as mankind and stands us in good stead?
All that is necessary for evil to prevail is that good men do nothing. Atributed to Edmund Burke. Among a people generally corrupt, liberty cannot long exist.
